Set specific rights on course folder in Panopto
After you have created your course folder in Panopto - Read here about creating a course folder in Panopt, there are three roles

- Creator (if your role is teacher/non-editing teacher in the Moodle course)
- Publisher (if your role is teacher/manager in the Moodle course)
- Viewer (the students)
All the videos you put in the folder in Panopto that you have created can be viewed by the students in the course, but the students cannot add anything to it.
A video in Panopto is automatically made invisible if it is not viewed for 2 years, and deleted if it is not viewed for 3 years
- Find the course folder on Panopto
- Click on the Gear icon in the top right corner
- Under the menu item settings, you will be able to see different settings for the Panopto folder that corresponds to the Moodel course
- If you do not want your students to be able to download videos from your course
- Set the dropdown menu to None under Downloads
- If you do not want your students to be able to download videos from your course

- If you want your students to be able to send a Panopto video in a post or attach a video as an assignment submission, you need to do the following:
- You need to create a special subfolder in Panopto, which is done by
- Access https://Panopto.aau.dk
- Locate the course folder
- Click on the Gear icon in the top right corner
- Select Overview from the menu options
- Click Create task folder under the item Task folder - then a subfolder will be created with the same name but with a task after the name - Course name [task]
- All participants in this course have access to this folder and will be able to see it if they log in to Panopto
- When students upload files to this Panopto folder, they can attach them from the Moodle course, and the other students will immediately see them - unlike if they attach files from My Folder in Panopto.
