Get access to a MS Team created with an AAU-Username from a RN (Region Nordjylland) PC

The instructions below describe how to get access to a team created with an AAU-Username from a RN (Region Nordjylland) PC.

1. Set up multi-factor authentication

Before logging in as described below, you need to configure multi-factor authentication (MFA) on your mobile or tablet if you have not done so already.

2. Log into your team in a browser

  • Open a new incognito window in your browser
  • Go to https://teams.microsoft.com
  • Enter your AAU-Username and password
  • Click OK to the certificate, if it is the first time you are logging in

3. Create a shortcut on your desktop (Microsoft Edge)

If you want to get easy access to MS Teams, you can create a shortcut on your desktop. Follow the instructions below to do so:

  • Right-click on your desktop
  • Choose New
  • Choose Shortcut
  • Enter the following address (URL) in the field Specify where the element is located: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" -inprivate https://teams.microsoft.com
  • Click Next
  • Name the shortcut e.g., AAU Teams
  • Click Apply to create your shortcut
