Settings in Panopto videos

   Find the video

   

   • Open https://Panopto.aau.dk
     
   • Find your video that you would like to view the rights to
   • Hover your mouse over the selected video and different options will appear

   A video in Panopto is visible for 6 years, and is then automatically made invisible for 1 year before being deleted. Video in personal folders will be saved as long as the username is active.

   The buttons' functions

   

   The Settings button gives you options to view information about your video(s) and the possibility to customize settings. For example, in the overview menu item under settings you can

   • Choose who can download the video
   • When the video should be available

   The Share button allows you to see who has access to your video. There are three; roles creator, publisher and view, who has these roles is inherited by the parent folder the video is in.

   • Creator - can create, upload and edit videos
   • Publisher - can approve created/edited videos
   • Viewer - can view videos

   If the video is in your My Folder, then by default only you can view the files. Here you have the Creator and Publisher roles, but there is no viewer. You can read here how to share a video or folder with others - Share video or folder with others

   The Edit button allows you to use Panopto's built-in editing tools on the video.

   The Statistics button allows you to see how many views the video has had.

   The delete button allows you to delete your video from Panopto.
