Active learning space

In an Active learning space environment, students are given the opportunity to work in the same group or among groups. Groups can share their knowledge and presentations with each other via the teacher desktop. This guide is aimed specifically at educators and covers both Windows and Mac.

The image below shows an Active learning space room. All corresponding rooms are equipped with:

A teacher's desk, from which a teacher provides communication between the desks on a touchscreen.
Multiple desks with a screen for groups. Group members can show their presentations to each other before they are shown to other groups.
A wall panel to start the projector and display the teacher's desk screen. View the projector screen.

The layout of the rooms can be different and thus differ from the image.

The screen attached to the workbench is switched on in 2 places:

Switch on the power switch to the right of the power input.
Press the on/off button at the bottom.

Contact IT Support, if the screen on the teacher's desk does not turn on.

How does the wall panel work?

Press ON on the wall panel. A display from the teacher's desk will appear on the screen.
Connect the HDMI cable to your PC. A display from your PC will automatically be shown on the canvas. The HDMI cable is typically located near the wall panel.
Press OFF to switch off.

Tap anywhere on the screen and the overview button will become visible on the left side.
Tap the Overview button.

You can now see the desks in the room and at the bottom centre of the screen you can also see the teacher's desk.

Tap Show all screens at the top left of the overview screen to see who is sharing. (A thumbnail of the presentation can be seen at the table that is presenting).
Tap Show all screens in the top left of the overview screen again.
Tap the yellow circle at the bottom centre of the screen.
Tap Share screen with all stations (the teacher is now sharing their presentation to all workstations).
Tap Stop sharing.

You can now see the desks in the room and at the bottom centre of the screen you can also see the teacher's desk.

Tap and hold on the white circle at the sharing workstation.

Sharing from one table to another table:

Drag a line to another table.

Sharing from one table to multiple tables:

Tap and hold your finger on the white circle at the sharing workstation.
Drag a line to the yellow circle.
Drag multiple lines to multiple tables or tap the yellow circle.
Tap Share screen with all stations.
Tap the yellow circle.
Tap Stop sharing.

Instructions for Mac

Share content from your PC for both teachers and students

Download the app vSolution here.
Install the app.
Click on the apple in the top left corner of your desktop on your MAC.
Click on System settings.
Click Anonymity & Security.
Click on Screen Recording.
Include and activate the vSolution app.
Launch the app.
Allow vSolution to use Bluetooth.
Click Connect.
Click Device List in the top menu.
Find or search for your board number and click on it. Your board number can be found at the top left of your board screen, e.g. Kst7-61-1.
Click on Screen Share.
Click on the screen you want to share.
Click Start streaming.
