How to install the PhdManager Windows client

Your computer must meet the following requirements to be able to install the client:  

• The operating system must be Windows 10 or later 
• Windows and Microsoft Office must be in Danish 
• Microsoft Office Primary Interop Assemblies must be installed 
• Microsoft .net version 4.5.1 must be installed

Before you can use the Windows client on your computer, you need to create a PhdManager-account. Write an email to Maria Bredvig (mab@adm.aau.dk) who is responsible to approving and coordinating the creation of PhdManager-accounts. Once you have a PhdManager-account, you will be able to run the program.

Every time you run the program it will control whether you run the latest version. If there are any updates, they will automatically be downloaded and installed. 

Please note that the program is locked to the user, which means that if User A installs it on a PC, user B will not be able to use it on the PC. In that case, User B needs to install the program first. Special admin rights are not required to install the Windows client.
