When printing and copying, your AAU associated account is charged. Staff is printing for free.

All students get a free sponsorship of 100 units when the AAU-account is created - no extra units when starting as a Bachelor or Master. When all your sponsored units have been spent, your prints and copies are paid with your own funds. You can buy more units here: 

Price for units

The "currency" for printing and copying is called units.

• 100 units costs 125 DKK*
• 200 units costs 250 DKK*

*Including VAT.

Please note that all other formats will be charged 0,80 units per page and that double sided printing (duplex) is accounted as two pages per single paper sheet.

Scanning cost

Please note that scanning activity is counted. You must therefore login at the device, even though it is a free service.

Check your printer and/or copy settings

The printer properties on your computer determine if your print should be A4 or A3, black-and-white or in color. If you want to make absolutely sure that you are printing in the correct format you should always check the printer properties before printing. Your account will always be charged according to the properties setting you applied.

For copies you should check the settings on the device itself to be sure that you are copying in either A4 or A3, black-and-white or color. Your account will always be charged according to the device setting you applied.

It is always recommended to print a few pages of a large job to verify your settings before printing the whole job.

Refund of units

If your print has been corrupted by a device and you are certain that it is due to the device, you may be entitled to receive a print refund. Refunded units are added to the "Allotted balance"
Always provide the following information when applying for a print refund:

• State the reason (paper jam, missing toner, etc.)
• State which specific device corrupted your print (sticker on a printer)
• State the specific time and date of the incident
• Copy lines from detaild reports in Your Account

We are not able to refund your unused paid units. You have the option to transfer purchased print units to other fellow students see how to transfer unused paid units here

Terms of agreement

The purchase agreement is subject to Danish law. The contract is only binding for both parties when Aalborg University has registered the payment.

Purchase of print units

In order to purchase print units on Topup you must do the following:

Go to http://account.printcopy.aau.dk/topup/
If you are prompted to login to Aalborg University's single signon do so
Read Terms and Conditions and accept them by clicking the checkbox
Select whether you want to purchase 100 units or 200 units by clicking the appropriate button
On the next page verify that the information is correct and click confirm to be transferred to our payment provider
Follow the instructions at our payment providers webpage.
Once you return to http://account.printcopy.aau.dk/topup/ you can download your receipt. You will also receive your receipt via email.

Delivery

When your payment has been accepted, your purchase will be added to your print unit balance right away.

Personal informations

As part of the payment process we will send your personal infomation, such as your name and address, to our payment provider. This information is only used to identify your order and to prevent fraud. All communications between you and the payment provider is encrypted.

Right of Withdrawel

You waive your 14 day withdrawal right when you purchase print units.

Refunding

Purchased print unit cannot be refunded. However, you have the option to transfer purchased print units to other fellow students.
