You can start the upgrade yourself, but if you need our assistance, you’re always welcome to contact ITS Support at (+45) 9940 2020.
THE INSTALLATION MAY TAKE UP TO AN HOUR AND A HALF TO COMPLETE, AND YOUR PC WILL RESTART SEVERAL TIMES DURING THE INSTALLATION PROCESS.
You’ll not be able to use your computer during the installation process. So as not to interfere too much with your work, you may start the installation process at a time that suits you.
You must install the upgrade on campus, and you must connect your computer to the wired network and directly to the power supply. This means that your computer must be connected via a network cable or via a docking station.
You cannot use your computer during the installation process.
The upgrade is entitled ‘Windows 10 - 1709 Upgrade’, and you’ll find it in the Software Center by selecting ‘Operating Systems’ in the left hand menu.
First of all, you must confirm that you want to start the upgrade.
When the installation process begins, the Software Center will download the relevant files. This will take approximately 30 minutes. Your PC may automatically lock itself and turn off the screen while the files are downloaded.
Your computer will now restart; and it will continue to do so several times during the installation process.
The first time you see the login screen, the computer will automatically restart within a few minutes.
You’ll then see the login screen again, and the computer is now ready for you to use. Please note that it may take a while for you to login for the first time.
