Your user account on our Microsoft Exchange server automatically includes a calendar. When you add appointments to your calendar, these time slots may be viewed by other users marked as ‘busy’. You can give other users or groups of users permission to view detailed information.
In this way, Microsoft Exchange Calendar can ease the process of scheduling meetings with several attendees and booking a meeting room. In order for calendars to be used as planning tools, it is important that you:
- keep your personal calendar up to date.
- schedule any private appointments during working hours (may be marked as ‘private’)
- register your holidays and time off in lieu clearly as ‘out of office’.
